MISSION

Free tools and guides for organisers and players, built around the social side of the game

PadelSideQuest exists to make it easier to run a session, and easier to feel confident joining one — free, always, and built with the social, everyone-included side of padel in mind.

WHAT THIS IS FOR

Built for community organisers, and anyone finding their confidence

Padel is a social sport first. Whether it's playing in weekend sessions or gathering family for a friendly tournament, the best games are the ones where everyone feels part of the group.

PadelSideQuest is built around that spirit — providing free, open-access tools and guides shaped for the inclusive side of the game. It's here to help organisers focus on the social atmosphere rather than managing screens, and to ensure new players always feel welcome.

A BIT ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Nikki

I've spent years working in tech, and more recently, fallen properly for padel — that combination is why PadelSideQuest exists. I've always been an advocate for women in tech, and building this myself felt like another chance to practise what I advocate, not just talk about it. The organiser on this site — and the guides next to it — are what came out of it.

(Also picked up a 2024 Rising Star Award in Technology from WeAreTheCity along the way, if you're curious about the tech background.)

WHY I PLAY

It quietens my brain

Padel is the one thing that quietens my brain completely. It keeps me fit without it ever feeling like exercise — no dreading a gym session, no talking myself into going. I just turn up and play, and everything else goes quiet for an hour.

THE PART I DIDN'T EXPECT

The friendships stuck

I wasn't looking for this, but padel gave me connections and friendships I know are going to last. Turns out a sport built around doubles is a genuinely good way to actually meet people.

HONESTLY?

I wasn't sure at first

I nearly talked myself out of it more than once before my first session. Now I'm properly hooked — and looking back, most of my hesitation was just not knowing what to expect. Which is exactly why this site exists.

WHY THIS SITE EXISTS

The guide — and the tools — I wish I'd had

PadelSideQuest started as the guide I wish someone had handed me before my first game — no jargon, no pressure, just the actual answers. It's grown from there into a free match organiser too, because "someone should really build this" kept quietly turning into "I actually have the skills to just build it." If it gets one more group actually playing and having a fun game, it's done its job.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO HELP

The nicest way to support this

Everything here is free, and building it myself is genuinely part of the fun — I'm not fundraising or running ads. If you get value from it, the best support costs nothing: follow along, tell your padel group, or use the tools next time you're organising a session. If PadelSideQuest ever grows into something bigger, I'd love for the people who were here early to be the first to know — pop your email in on the homepage to join the list.

LET'S CONNECT

Say hi, I mean it

Whether it's a comment, a follow, or just a straight-up email — if you want to connect, I'm genuinely around and happy to chat padel.
